1. Obtain a Temporary Access Pass
Before using TAP in Outlook, you need to get one from your IT admin.
Your IT admin will generate a TAP in Microsoft Entra ID.
The pass will have a time limit (e.g., 10 minutes, 1 hour, etc.).
It may be for one-time use or allow multiple sign-ins.
2. Sign in to Outlook with TAP
Once you have a TAP, follow these steps:
For Outlook Web App (OWA)
Open a browser and go to Outlook Web.
Enter your email address and click Next.
Instead of entering a password, select "Sign in with a Temporary Access Pass" (if prompted).
Enter the TAP code provided by your administrator.
Complete the sign-in process and access your Outlook mailbox.
For Outlook Desktop App
Open Outlook on your computer.
If prompted, enter your email address.
When asked for a password, click "More Choices" (if available).
