MBS Student - Wi-Fi Troubleshooting
If you're having difficulties with the Wi-Fi connection on your laptop, the below troubleshooting steps may be of assistance to you.
Forgetting the network
Forgetting and re-adding the network can help fix up any bugs in your connection, it's very easy to do and should only take a couple of minutes.
- Find the Wi-Fi task icon (where you connect to Wi-Fi from) and click it
- Look for the problematic network
- Right click on the network & choose "Forget"
- Wait a few moments for the computer to finish processing
- Click again on the forgotten network and choose connect
- If you're connecting to the MBS network, you will need to enter your Student ID for username and password.
Rebooting your laptop
Where you're having network troubles, always attempt a restart of your computer on the first instance (unless advised otherwise by the Service Desk).
Test alternative network
When troubleshooting Wi-Fi or network issues, it's good to test another network to see if you get the same problems.
If your MBS Wi-Fi isn't working, you can use the Wi-Fi details attached to this article, but please be sure to let the service desk know to investigate.
