Accessing the Virtual Classroom platform for the first time
The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on how to register your account with Barco We-Connect Virtual Classroom platform. Users will only have to complete this step when they first access the platform (unless their original account was removed or deleted by a Platform Administrator).
- Your details have been added to Barco We-Connect Virtual Classroom platform by administrator.
- Received the email from Barco We-Connect platform to set up your password
1. Go to your email that has been registered with MBS and look for an email from Barco WeConnect titled “Set your Barco weConnect password.”
2. Click on the link to set up your password. It will open a new tab that requires you to enter your new password.
3. Set a Good Password. Click on Submit to finish setting up your password.
Note: The passwords are evaluated by strength estimator (zxcvbn) inspired by password crackers. Through pattern matching and conservative estimation, it recognizes and weighs 30k common passwords, common names and surnames according to US census data, popular English words from Wikipedia and US television and movies, and other common patterns like dates, repeats (aaa), sequences (abcd), keyboard patterns (qwertyuiop), and l33t speak.
To be accepted the password must get a minimum score of 2 on 4.
4. Go to the website Barco weConnect. Enter your registered email and password to login to the platform.
5. Now you can see the dashboard and planned session for your live online learning activities.
Note: If you do not see any session information when you do login, the session may have not yet been created. Contact the servicedesk@mbs.edu to confirm or check this page closer to the session scheduled start date and time.
Best Practice Recommendations for BAU:

Check the email account that you have registered your details with when enrolling for the program.

Find the exact email with the subject “Set your Barco weConnect password

Make sure your password is verified as “Good password”.

We recommend you setting up your account as soon as possible. This can help to mitigate any problems that could arise and have them resolved before the session commences.

Click on the verified email link if you receive one. This can make you unable to set up your password with your account.

This guide has been tested on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge on PC and they are all function the same. Further testing would be required for Safari as well as MAC-user.
